Jeff started a Manufacturer's Representative firm in 1984 that focused on products that comprise the physical infrastructure of a communications network. In 1991, he sold his company to Cartwright & Bean, and became Vice President of the Systems division, managing a sales and support staff responsible for $25 million in annual sales, a position he held for 6 years. Jeff, along with other partners, founded Network Technologies (NTI) in May of 1998.
Jeff is the President of the firm and is the Principal in Charge on numerous projects. During his tenure with the NTI he has managed the design and system implementation processes for over 300 hospitality and commercial projects. This includes the production of construction documents for low voltage technology systems, assistance in vendor selection, commissioning, construction administration services and project management.
Under Jeff's leadership, NTI has been involved in over 500 projects in 10 years, each of which came in on time or earlier, and over 80% of which were contracted with a client that returned after their initial project. Because of his ability to meet or exceed expectations, Jeff has established relationships with architects and owner/developer clients, some of which have contracted NTI for over 20 projects.
When Jeff started as a Manufacturer's Representative in the data communications market, Personal Computers were first entering the business community. Jeff recognized early the growing requirement for products that comprise the physical infrastructure of a communications network. During his tenure as a Manufacturer's Representative he received extensive training from the manufacturers his firms represented on both their products and overall systems design. Over the next seven years, Jeff built his business to $10 million in sales before selling it to Cartwright & Bean, Inc., an Atlanta based Manufacturer's Representative firm in 1991.
In August of 1997, Jeff tested for and received the RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) accreditation from BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Services International). After receiving his RCDD, Jeff saw the need for commercial technology specialists as technological advances became critical to effectively developing and operating larger commercial developments. He and his partners founded Network Technologies in 1998.
