Scott has been in the consulting business since 1988, has specifically been involved in communications system design since 1990. Scott joined NTI in 1999.
As a Principal for NTI, Scott is responsible for all aspects of the consulting, design, construction administration and project management processes. Scott's role entails a great deal of "hands on" work, managing and mentoring NTI's production team members, as well as daily interface with the clients' representatives. Since joining the firm in October of 1999, Scott has served as NTI team leader for over 150 different projects involving all aspects of technology systems design and implementation.
After several years as a design engineer, Scott was named Director of Electrical Engineering at Engineering Matrix, Inc. in St. Petersburg, Florida. In that role, he served as lead designer and project manager for numerous projects through the State of Florida's "Retrofit for Technology" Program, a state funded program to upgrade the voice and data communications systems for all levels of the public school system.
In September of 1996, Scott accepted a position with an Atlanta based consulting firm, with a primary focus for major clients such as IBM and Equifax. Scott served as project manager and lead electrical engineer for the new IBM Sales Call Center in Smyrna, Georgia, a 150,000 square foot facility that included dual electrical utility feeds, dual telecom service provider feeds, and parallel redundant UPS systems with a backup generator. Scott was also project manager of the communications systems for the new Equifax Worldwide Headquarters in Atlanta, a 120,000 square foot project for which he performed a needs assessment for data, voice, and security systems, oversaw the design of these systems, managed the bid process, and provided overall project management.
