We begin with programming, comparing our client’s budgetary targets for systems with our cost estimate for the project. If the project is a renovation, restoration, or adaptive reuse, we begin with a site visit to assess existing conditions.
We help clients plan a suitable solution for their immediate, and future needs. Based on the most current and reliable technologies available, we build a comprehensive plan for our clients. We proudly remain abreast of the latest changes in industry standards open architecture solutions.
We consult with our clients to determine the best solution for them for all audio visual systems, security systems, cellular wireless systems, and the specific technology systems to be installed, such as switches, routers, and servers. As required, we also assist with the technology budget analysis, needs assessment, and systems evaluation.
We meet with the client to develop a thorough understanding of the specific requirements based on the owner’s vision and defined technology budgets.
We work closely with the architect to coordinate and ensure the proper planning for technology rooms, pathways and spaces needed for the technology infrastructure. We design the systems for the audio visual and security systems, plus, we can assist with the design of a Cellular Enhancement System to improve the cellular signal, as necessary.
Throughout the design process we coordinate with all pertinent designers and engineers of other disciplines (Architect, MEP, and Interior Designer) to assure that all factors pertaining to the successful installation and implementation of the technology systems are addressed during the design of the project.
NTI’s comprehensive design and complete set of plans will leave no room for field speculation, confusion or mistakes. We strive to make our plans clear and concise, drawn and issued in state of the art AutoCAD or Revit. This ensures that the incorporation of information from other consultants and engineers on the project is an efficient, smooth and seamless process.
Our drawings include details for all components necessary to install a complete systems and construction documents serve as a comprehensive bid package that can be issued along with an RFP to prospective bidders/vendors to obtain competitive pricing on the project.
Our specifications include designating manufacturer’s part numbers for all major components, references to all relevant industry standards, installation guidelines, testing and certification requirements and any other special installation instructions needed for each project.
4. bid management
NTI will help develop, write and issue a complete and comprehensive “Request for Quotation” and oversee the bidding process. Our experience in evaluating and comparing bid documents will eliminate potentially confusing bids, so that proposals are based on well-defined requirements.
We can help select potential vendors for each system so each vendor invited to respond to the RFP is highly qualified for the specific system(s) being procured. We can issue the RFP along with all pertinent construction documents to pre-qualified vendors who are selected by the client or by NTI recommendation.
Upon receipt of the responses to the RFP, we evaluate each respondent’s package for accuracy and conformance to the RFP requirements. Once the vendor that provides the best TCO has been selected, we will award the project to the successful vendor(s) with a client derived contract.
5. implementation management
Our Project Management services ensure that new systems are being installed properly as designed, that all plans, specifications, local and national codes are being followed. When preferred, we coordinate with an outside installer to perform the technology system installation services.
We oversee all phases of the installation process for each of the technology systems. From the initial rough in of the cabling system to testing the last piece of equipment. We work closely with all technology vendors to assure that coordination efforts occur at the appropriate time intervals and remains on schedule.
Throughout the installation and implementation, we serve as the client’s technical representative to address contractor and vendor issues pertaining to the technology portion of the project. And we keep the client informed of any issues regarding the technology system(s) that may require their input throughout the process.
NTI provides services to verify that the technology systems have been installed and operate as designed and documented. In this capacity we serve as the owner’s technology advocate, and keep the client informed of any issues regarding the technology systems that may require action. This includes that all plans, specifications, local and national codes are being followed.
Our services involve testing and certifying the ability of the current infrastructure to run future protocols. Upon performing an audit of the infrastructure, we will provide our client with recommendations for any changes necessary to assure the systems will meet the anticipated future demands.
